Movement 3: Single Whip

Movement:

  1. Starting position is the end position from Grasp the Bird's Tail
  2. Turn body and right foot left 45° and bring left foot near the body. Shift weight to the right leg. Bring both hands in front of body. Right hand forms a break and the left palm turns toward the body.
  3. Turn head toward the left, and turn left foot and step left with the left foot. Move hands out in a circle.
  4. Bend both knees, lowering the body slightly. Push the left hand toward the left and extend the right arm toward the right.

End Position: Right foot points forward and left foot points left. The head turns left and the left hand pushes to the side. The right hand forms a beak; knees are bent evenly.
