It
may seem obvious to say having fun is an important
stress management activity. "Fun" actually
helps boost seratonin levels (the anti-depressant
neurotransmitter mentioned earlier), gives us a
break from our worries, reminds us of the goodness
of life, and helps us "change mental channels."
Sometimes
just a small respite from stress through a few
activities can boost our energy and mood enough
to help us cope better with stressful challenges.
