have the awareness now that although you can't prevent all stress, as some stress is built into the human condition,
you can control a significant amount of its potential ill effects as well as reducing its onset in the first place.

- good time management
- relaxation techniques
- healthy diet and regular exercise
- assertive communication
- social support
